Yolanda Hadid’s concerning photos of daughter Bella in hospital sparks major backlash

Yolanda Hadid has faced criticism from the public after she posted a series of highly personal photos of her daughter, Bella, in the hospital.

She uploaded several images of Bella in bed and receiving treatments, accompanied by a lengthy caption detailing her struggles.

This follows Bella's own post of similar pictures, prompting many critics to question the decision to share such private moments. They wonder if their health challenges should be kept more private.

Yolanda expressed: "As you can imagine, watching my Bella suffer in silence has been profoundly heartbreaking for me."

"After many years, I stopped sharing my personal story because I needed a change in energy, a chance to focus on my healing rather than take in others' opinions about my journey."

"Nonetheless, I am the CEO of my health, and after fifteen years of searching worldwide, I am still committed to finding a cure that is affordable for everyone."

Yolanda wrote to Bella: "The hidden disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease is difficult for anyone to explain or understand."

"I try to lead by example on our Lyme journey, but my own pain is nothing compared to witnessing my child suffer," she added.

"You are relentless and brave; no child should endure an incurable chronic illness."

"There aren't words big enough to describe the darkness, the pain, and the unknown torment you've endured since your diagnosis in 2013," she continued, noting that her daughter 'has learned to live within the confines of her own paralyzed mind.'

She added: "You've endured another month of treatment, and I believe God is good; miracles happen every day. I pray for your swift recovery, my love."

Yolanda then referred to her as a 'badass Warrior'.

However, despite the sincerity, not everyone agrees with Yolanda's choice to share her feelings, and the decision to post the pictures has sparked some backlash.

"lmao how does everyone get Lyme?" one person wrote, noting the number of celebrities diagnosed with the condition, including Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber.

Another critic questioned: "Does Yolanda not understand her daughters' need for privacy and vulnerability? Is it too much to expose Bella like this? This is so concerning."

"This feels weird and unsettling," another remarked. "If you don't care about your right to privacy, what about our (the public's) right not to see such personal and private moments? This makes me uneasy. I shouldn't be seeing this."

On X, a social media user commented: "Yeah, this is becoming strange, I'm sorry. I feel terrible for her, especially with this being shared with the whole world."

"Posing in a hospital bed and immediately posting it on social media gives me the utmost ick," admitted another.

Bella, Yolanda, and Anwar Hadid have all been diagnosed with Lyme disease, and they state that Bella is enduring chronic symptoms of the condition.

Contrary to the Hadid family's term 'chronic Lyme', the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and many medical experts refer to it as Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome (PTLDS), where symptoms persist after antibiotic treatment.

The CDC aims to discourage the use of the term Chronic Lyme Disease because it 'suggests that prolonged symptoms are due to an ongoing bacterial infection, whereas the cause is not currently known.'
