Kim Kardashian leaves internet baffled after turning up to event on mobility scooter

Kim Kardashian has left the internet utterly perplexed after arriving at an event on a mobility scooter.

The 44-year-old reality TV and social media icon made an appearance at the grand opening of her new Skims flagship store in New York on Thursday (12 December), dressed in a cream leather two-piece outfit, complemented by a matching cream handbag and a chic half-up, half-down hairstyle for the occasion.

However, it wasn't her outfit that grabbed the attention of fans online - it was the mode of transportation she used for her grand entrance.

Fans of The Kardashians are already aware that Kim injured her foot last week, as she took to Instagram to express her frustration over the injury.

Although she didn't explain how the injury happened, the mum-of-four wrote with an angry emoji: "FML."

In the image that Kim shared on her story at the time, she was seen wearing a black boot on her left foot while using crutches to aid her walking.

"Broken foot for the holidays," she added.

It's evident that not even a broken foot could deter Kim from wearing heels for the special event. However, she did later switch to a pair of Uggs, which she wore while using the knee scooter.

Nevertheless, fans found the entire scenario quite iconic, with one Instagram user commenting: "404 error: broken foot not found."

Another humorously remarked: "The irony of being in a jumpsuit when you can’t jump with your broken foot."

"No way can she wear those heels with a broken foot," commented a third, while a fourth echoed: "Broken foot but still wearing heels? Even on the injured one?"

A fifth added: "Broken foot but wearing heels? That's odd lol."

A sixth praised: "Love that she still put a heel on it!! That’s my girl."

"If I ever break my foot, I will opt for the heel too," admitted another, and a final fan added: "I love how she still has a heel on her broken foot. The grind never stops."

Earlier this month (4 December), Kim posted a series of photos to Instagram riding an electric bike while wearing a helmet, a white bodysuit, sheer tights - and, of course, heels.

She captioned the photo set: "Enjoy the ride."

Some fans have speculated that this stunt might be the cause behind Kim's recent injury.

However, the businesswoman has not yet confirmed whether or not this photoshoot was responsible for her foot injury.
