Pete Davidson has explicit response to Pedro Pascal hate

Pete Davidson passionately defended Pedro Pascal against critics during his recent podcast appearance, where he talked about how quickly Hollywood can turn against you.

The 31-year-old comedian is well-acquainted with the spotlight, having skyrocketed to fame after joining the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2014 at the age of 20.

Since then, he's been featured in numerous movies and TV shows and has been linked to several high-profile celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.

During his appearance on Theo Von's podcast on Tuesday, the actor shared insights into the ups and downs of fame, including how swiftly public opinion can shift from admiration to disdain.

He cited Pedro Pascal as an example, who achieved significant fame as the lead in The Last of Us in 2023.

Prior to this, Pascal, 50, had garnered attention for his roles as Oberyn Martell in Game Of Thrones (2014), Javier Peña in Narcos (2015), and the titular character Din Djarin in The Mandalorian (2019).

In recent years, the actor has become a global household name and has amassed an enormous fanbase.

Nevertheless, Pascal encountered considerable criticism in July as some accused him of being overly affectionate with female co-stars like Fantastic Four's Vanessa Kirby.

Yet, there was no evidence of any wrongdoing, and Kirby herself only had praise for her co-star.

He later explained that he sometimes uses physical touch as a coping mechanism for anxiety in certain situations, telling Men’s Health: “I was always one to reach out when I’m facing something that is challenging or making me anxious.”

Meanwhile, some individuals seem frustrated by the actor's numerous roles.

At that time, one fan highlighted the sudden surge of negativity and commented: "Pedro Pascal hate campaign that suddenly sprung up overnight has got to be the most obviously coordinated and botted attack I've ever seen."

And now, Davidson has also shared his perspective, ensuring to stand up for the Hollywood actor.

During the podcast appearance, the SNL star remarked: "Look at Pedro Pascal right now. He’s worked so hard, he’s been a struggling actor, blows up so f**king hard, everyone’s like ‘daddy!’

"And then a year later he’s like in everything now because he’s big and everyone’s like ‘go the f**k away dude!"

In disbelief, he questioned: "It’s like, what the f**k dude? You’ve got to give someone time to adjust to that new level of fame.

"He's been at it for thirty years now. He's learning how to go get a cup of coffee or deal with someone who taps you on the shoulder while you have your earbuds in and freaks you out.

"You've gotta give that guy a f***ing second to adjust, do you know what I mean?"

Davidson added: "It’s like we build everybody up and now it’s so fast to turn [on them]. Bro it's like within months, where you're like, what the f**k happened?"

And it seems social media agrees.

One Twitter user wrote: "I agree 100% with this. The guy spent years making no money and gets offered so much in his late 40's. Of course he has to capitalize and strike while the iron is hot."

While a second penned: "Pete's got a point, Pedro Pascal earned his moment but the internet never lets anyone enjoy success."

And a third added: "Everyone builds you up just to kick you down the moment you leave indie hell."
